What an awesome week! I haven’t blogged for a long
time because things have been super crazy but here it goes: I’m going to split
it up into each day of the week so it’s easier for me to remember what happened
when (because honestly it’s all a blur).
We left for Turkey on Sunday September 16th
(after watching the BYU v. Utah football game at 5 AM in the morning of
course—that game was such a bummer) and flew out of the Ben Gurion Airport. It
took us hours to get through security and to get our bags checked—they say that
the BG Airport is the most intense when it comes to security…now I really know
the meaning of thorough airport security. It was a really long day but I was so
happy to finally be in Istanbul, Turkey! My roommate for the week was Emily
Christensen. She is super cute and I loved getting to know her more better.
