Today I visited a plethora of churches on the Mount of
Olives: a Greek Orthodox Church, the Russian Orthodox Church of the Ascension,
Russian Orthodox Church of Mary Magdalene, and the Church of St. Mary. It was
so nice to get out of the center and the weather was absolutely perfect. I
knelt down at the very spot where Christ ascended to heaven from the Mount of
Olives! Ok it most likely wasn’t the exact spot, but it was still cool to think
about that event that happened somewhere close-by.
